What does DPT stand for?

Did you know that physical therapists hold advanced degrees? Years ago, you could practice physical therapy with just a certificate which quickly became a bachelor's degree. While a bachelor's degree was previously enough, it now does not allow a person enough time to get the necessary experience and knowledge of expanding healthcare.

Becoming a
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) is competitive and challenging. It involves three years of additional schooling plus, on average, 1,500 hours of clinical rotations. As physical therapy has significantly progressed over time, the increase in education greatly benefits both therapist and patient. When you see a DPT, know that their title represents years of study and preparation to bring you the very best care. At Rainey Pain & Performance we hire Doctors of Physical Therapy. We then continue to heavily invest in continuing education so we can bring you the best, up to date knowledge.
