Pediatric physical therapists use various treatments to help build strength, improve movement, and strengthen the skills needed for your little one to complete his or her daily activities. Together we work with children and their families to help your child reach their maximum physical potential and function independently. We promote health and wellness and provide help with developmental activities, movement, mobility, strengthening, motor learning, balance, and coordination.
One pediatric area we specialize in is bedwetting. We conduct a thorough examination, reviewing health history, bowel and bladder history, dietary assessment, and physical exam. We then determine which treatment option will be best for your child. Treatment options include but are not limited to: toileting mechanics, double voiding, pelvic floor coordination practice, breathing pattern practice, motor control exercises for the abdominal muscles, self colonic massage, catheter balloon training, and biofeedback using ultrasound imaging.
